Breast Cancer Management

Breast Cancer Management

Physical therapy is a very effective tool in addressing the lasting effects of cancer, cancer treatments and enhancing cancer survivorship. PT can address the acute and long term impairments and functional limitations triggered by cancer surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation.

Our goals are to improve quality of life in the months and years after cancer diagnosis by targeting:

  • Fatigue
  • Weakness
  • Pain
  • Neuropathy
  • Compromised Musculoskeletal Range of Motion
  • Lymphedema
  • Cardiopulmonary Declines
  • Osteoporosis
  • Poor GI Function

We utilize both manual therapeutic interventions and exercises. Effective exercise can help improve strength and endurance, reduce fatigue, help with weight loss, prevent lymphedema, decrease inflammation and reduce the re occurrence of cancer.
