“KPT is the best place to get better. They take care of your whole body and mind. They are the best.” – Cindy C.
“Probably the most important factor in my selecting this facility was being able to schedule appointments with least impact on my work schedule (early am or evening.) Please work on making these time frames even more available. have nothing be praise for your staff.” – Anonymous
“I came to KPT with a knee injury on crutches. I could not walk, and this was my first time ever going to physical therapy. I was assigned Emily as my physical therapist, and she was the absolute best. She not only reassured me that I would walk again but she was so positive and would not let me give up. My appointments were always on time, and she never made me feel rushed if I had any questions during or after my appointment. I would highly recommend KPT to anyone!!” – Jamie M.
“The staff is very knowledgeable and work with you to your best!” – Katherene T.

Professional Interests:
Jackie’s interest in physical therapy began as a patient of Kitsap Physical Therapy (KPT). She underwent extensive treatment for a high school softball injury right here in North Kitsap. The awesome care she received at KPT inspired the start of her professional journey. Later, as a student at the University of Washington, a sports injury focus evolved into whole body and lifespan health. Fall prevention and balance training sparked an awareness and heart for our senior community and many common challenges. Jackie’s approach to physical therapy practice strives to achieve and maintain the best possible standard of living and lifelong mobility independence.
Jackie has pursued post doctorate certifications and training to meet specific needs of our senior community. Most recently, she explored general neurological rehabilitation. In addition to clinic services, Jackie promotes physical therapy education and outreach for community organizations. Jackie provides Telehealth support to Kitsap Physical Therapy patients as part of the KPT immediate virus response. Jackie is here to guide your physical therapy journey when life throws you a curve ball.
Extracurricular Interests and Hobbies: Jackie is a third generation Kitsap resident and enjoys exploring our Northwest outdoors. When not focused on patient care, Jackie unwinds by hiking, kayaking and camping with her husband and puppy. She also participates in local CrossFit. Jackie encourages daily activity and living your best life. As a physical therapist and cancer survivor, Jackie is an advocate for healthy living and suggests everyone only move the body parts you want to continue using throughout your life!

Professional Interests:
Sharing my knowledge and expertise through community connections. I strive to be a mover and shaker in the revolution against the stigmas surrounding abdominal and pelvic health issues (bowel, bladder, and sexual dysfunction), fill the gap in care and knowledge for treatment options for swelling (lymphedema) related conditions, and provide a supportive, restorative and palliative role for patients diagnosed with cancer to help them transition from illness to fitness.
Extracurricular Interests/Hobbies:
Despite Idaho being IdaHOME, Kara moved to Washington to pursue her college education and got the Pacific North West blue and green fever. In her spare time she enjoys CrossFit, reading, playing cribbage with her husband, and eating. Her four favorite food groups are wine, chocolate, cheese, and bacon.

Having just graduated in 2018, Ryan is eager and open to explore many opportunities that will expand his clinical skills. Ryan has a great desire to educate and guide his patients to help them meet their rehabilitation goals. Ryan wants them to feel that they are a vital part of their recovery and KPT can give them the tools they need to regain lost function without pain.
Extracurricular Interests/Hobbies:
Ryan is a southeast Idaho native but fell in love with the Olympic Peninsula while dating his wife, who grew up in Poulsbo. He attended PT school in Austin, Texas where he and his wife became foodies and spent most of their free time discovering diverse foods and restaurants throughout the Texas capitol. The best being Texas BBQ!
Since moving back to Poulsbo, Ryan and his wife enjoy camping, hiking, and boating with family. They are also glad to be back in SEAHAWKS country!

Malina loves to inspire people to be more active and realize that there is a little bit of an athlete in all of us. She finds it enjoyable to see people get back to the things they love to do, whether that be gardening, golfing or their first 10K run. She loves analyzing someone’s movement and figuring out what needs to change to make them feel better and move easier. It is especially exciting to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance.
Extracurricular Interests/Hobbies:
Malina is a recent transplant from Nevada, so she is thoroughly enjoying her new home in the PNW. Any chance she can get to be outside to run, hike or play with her pup the better! She just completed her first 50K run and is planning to do longer distances in the future. Traveling has been a big part of her life in recent years, especially after she caught the “bug” during a year-long physical therapy residency program in Beijing, China. During her downtime, she is an avid reader and she usually has at least 4 books going at one time. She is blessed that almost every weekend she gets to visit her grandparents in Belfair and encourage them to be more active/healthy.
