Dear Kitsap Physical Therapy patients,
As the nation comes together to slow the spread of COVID-19, the President issued on March 16th an updated Coronavirus Guidance for America. This guidance states: "If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule. "Critical infrastructure workforce" includes "Caregivers (e.g., physicians, dentists, psychologists, mid-level practitioners, nurses and assistants, infection control and quality assurance personnel, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists and assistants, social workers, speech pathologists and diagnostic and therapeutic technicians and technologists)"
Please see the below announcement from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security: "memorandum on identification of essential critical infrastructure workers during COVID-19 response", released on March 19th, 2020 for guidance and more detailed information.
With the evolving news regarding COVID-19 in our area we wanted to inform you that patient health and safety continues to be a high priority for us. We will continue to closely monitor the regulations and update our protocols.
As we remain open, we have been and will continue to be vigilant about sanitation standards in all our clinics. If you are feeling sick or exhibiting any symptoms, please reschedule your appointment and stay home.
